Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is widely acclaimed as a pioneer in the field of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in the legal setting. Professor Goodman is a prolific author who has received numerous awards and grants. She has worked with many organisations and governments all over the world to conduct policy and research relating to child victims of the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of a variety of professional organizations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member, International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was head of the America Psychological Association's divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice.
