Anna Silk

Anna Silk is Canadian actress who has been best known in Canada by her character of Bo. Silk was a native of Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. Ilkay Silk as well as Peter Silk both were professors. Ilkay was also a writer, director and producer. She is Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers watching her mother at work and attending play rehearsals. Silk made several commercials while she was still a kid. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Arts from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was involved in at least two of the early stage productions, including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk relocated to Toronto in the year 1999 to Los Angeles in the decade that followed 1999. Seth Cooperman is her future partner, which she was introduced to in Los Angeles at an Actors workshop. The couple got engaged in 2009, and were married at a civil wedding ceremony in December of that year. They renewed their vows on April 10th, 2011 in Fredericton following the time that Silk changed her religion to Judaism. Silk was blessed with the son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second child was born in the month of May 2016. Silk's television work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica and she won a Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. The Canadian series Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character of a succubus. Silk was pregnant during filming the finale of the third series. The actress announced her pregnancy to fans during the Showcase Season Three pre-show special of January 6, 2013. On June 4 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the beginning of production for the fourth season and on June 20 2013 Silk posted on Twitter that she was ready to the series. CNN Cable News Network named Bo as well as Lauren Zoie Palmer, as the couple with the same name on Lost Girl to be one of the top television Couples of all time. E! Magazine declared that they were the top TV Couples of 2013. Entertainment Television. Because of the show's popularity, Silk has gained a large presence on social media.
